This workshop will introduce the idea of coaching in a quick and totally practical way. Attendees will learn a variety of techniques to improve their coaching and mentoring skills including:
- How to identify and coach your team members according to their personality style
- How to articulate a vision for your team
- How to define and regularly use the "Take 10 Check In" to stay in touch with your team
- How to Identify and reward individual team members according to what they respond to best
- Techniques for evaluating and acting on the reasons behind a team member's poor performance
- Defining and putting into practice "The Two Minute Challenge"
- Recording and tracking your own coaching activities for each member of your team

SCP Community Roundtable
The session event will provide an opportunity to network with your peers in the SCP Community, discuss topics of interest and provide feedback into the evolution of the SCP Standards program. We'll discuss the changes to the 2012 Edition of the SCP Standards, the weighting process and more. There is no cost for the roundtable.
