Organizations see the value of quality training programs for technical staff and use a mixture of learning programs to achieve their goals. However, few organizations spend enough time on developing their managers. Management development is not something that can be left to chance. Organizations need to have clearly defined management programs if they are to identify and grow future leaders. Nokia has ensured management succession through constant evaluation and renewal of skills resulting in selective and structured career progression.
