Frequently Asked Questions about the Certification Exam Center
Q. How do I register for one of the SCP Career Certification exams?
A. To take your designated SCP Career Certification Exam online, you must purchase a username and password from Service Strategies by calling 1-858-674-4864 or 1-800-552-3058, or send an email to email@example.com.
Q. I am not able to log in. How can I get help?
A. Your User ID and password were emailed to you. They are case sensitive, please make sure that you are entering it correctly. If you have forgotten your password, please click on “I’ve forgotten my username/password” from the login page or contact Service Strategies by calling 1-858-674-4864 or 1-800-552-3058, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q. When should I take an SCP Career Certification exam?
A. Each certification exam should be taken only after you have attended or taken the proper training course. Service Strategies offers instructor-led classes for all five certification exams as well as online courses for Field Service Professional, Service Representative and Support Professional. Q. How many questions are on the certification exams and how much time is allowed for each exam?
A. The following describes each certification exam.
• Certified Field Service Professional: This certification exam consists of 100 questions and has a time limit of 180 minutes.
• Certified Service Representative: This certification exam consists of 80 questions and has a time limit of 90 minutes.
• Certified Support Professional: This certification exam consists of 100 questions and has a time limit of 120 minutes.
• Certified Support Specialist: This certification exam consists of 100 questions and has a time limit of 120 minutes.
• Certified Support Supervisor: This certification exam consists of 120 questions and has a time limit of 180 minutes.
Q. Can I pause during the certification exam and come back to it later?
A. No. The time limit for each certification exam begins when you start the exam and runs continuously even if you exit the exam.
Q. Will I know my score after I take the certification exam?
A. Yes, your score will appear immediately after you click Complete. If you do not obtain a passing grade on your first attempt, you can log back into the system and retake it. If you do not obtain a passing grade on your second attempt, please contact Service Strategies.
Q. While taking the exam, can I skip questions and come back to them?
A. Yes, you may use your browser’s back button to go back to any question. You will also have an opportunity at the end of the exam to review all of your answers and make any changes.
Q. During the exam, will I know how much time I have remaining?
A. Yes. There is a clock at the top of the exam which displays the amount of time remaining. The clock will remain at the top of the page and will continue to run until you submit your answers.
Q. What is the passing score for the certification exams?
A. You must achieve a minimum of 75% in order to pass each certification exam.
Q. I have passed the certification exam, now what?
A. Congratulations on passing the certification test! You will receive an email immediately following submission of your answers. If you would like a copy of your certificate simply click on Achievements on the left navigation pane of the Home page. If you did not receive that email or would like a paper certificate, please contact Service Strategies by calling 1-858-674-4864 or 1-800-552-3058, or send an email to email@example.com.
