2024 Service Industry Outlook Research Report
Service Strategies has conducted several industry studies over the years on the outlook service executives have for their businesses. The first was done in 2009 after the economic collapse, followed by a study in 2011 to gauge progress during the recovery. The 2017 study came on the heels of an improving economy. The 2018 study was conducted during a significant period of improvement in the economy which included tax policy changes implemented at the end of 2017. The 2022 study is subsequent of a major pandemic that affected the worldwide economy, coupled with the highest level of inflation in the past 40 years.
Now, in 2024, how will the changes in organizational structure due to a more remote work force and the introduction of AI affect how companies are handling the delivery of their customer service and support? The report highlights the results of the study and provides an indication of the actions companies are taking within their service organizations, their priorities and their outlook for growth within their services businesses. Over 35 leading technology companies participated in the study, which was conducted through web-based surveys and interviews with service executives.
