Websense security effectiveness bolstered with support excellence in more than 100 essential SCP Standards criteria
SAN DIEGO—June 20, 2012—For the third year in a row, content security leader Websense has been recognized for excellent customer service and support, by attaining certification under the prestigious Service Capability & Performance (SCP) Standards. The results are based on an extensive third-party on-site audit of worldwide support centers. The SCP Standards define a stringent set of performance criteria that quantify the effectiveness of customer service and support and represent the global benchmark of service excellence.
“It’s clear why Websense® Global Technical Support achieved certification against the SCP Standards in 2012, 2011, and 2010,” said Greg Coleman, vice president of strategic programs for Service Strategies. “Our in-depth audits show that Websense consistently delivers the highest quality service and support on a global scale. The IT security landscape is changing rapidly. Organizations need vendors that provide not only highly effective security, but highly effective support systems as well. Websense provides that peace of mind, as evidenced by the fact that the company met or exceeded the performance requirements of more than 100 business practices defined in the SCP Standards.”
Websense Global Technical Support offers three global support programs (Standard Support, Premium Support, and Mission Critical Support), so that every size and type of organization can choose a plan that fits their needs.
Websense support services back the award-winning Websense TRITON™ solutions, which unify all of the key components of threat defense and data-theft prevention into a cohesive security system. The TRITON solution brings together web security, email security, mobile security, and data loss prevention (DLP) defenses and intelligence within one management console.
“We have invested heavily in delivering a quality support experience and hold ourselves accountable to this mandate by having an independent audit each year to measure how we are executing against this benchmark,” said John McCormack, president, Websense. “SCP is an internationally known standard for support excellence and this recognition is a testament to our customer commitment.”
The SCP Standards are part of a suite of service capability and performance standards designed to improve the quality and effectiveness of technology service operations. A consortium of leading technology companies and Service Strategies Corporation created the internationally recognized standards. The standards define best practices for delivering world-class technology service and support, quantify performance levels, and establish a foundation to build on existing quality processes. Certification requires comprehensive audits and annual recertification to confirm that companies continue to meet the requirements of the program.
