Wind River Attains Prestigious Service Certification For Third Consecutive Year

Certification Recognizes Wind River For Delivering World-Class Customer Support

ALAMEDA, CA – November 18, 2008 – Wind River (NASDAQ: WIND), the global leader in Device Software Optimization (DSO), today announced that Wind River’s Support Operations Centers in North America and Europe have achieved certification for the third and second consecutive year, respectively, under the Service Capability & Performance (SCP) Standards. The company’s support operations underwent stringent audits, conducted by Service Strategies Corporation, in order to attain certification against the SCP Standards. Wind River continues to be the only embedded Linux vendor to earn this highly regarded certification.

“The Wind River team is making outstanding gains in performance and has shown a clear commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement,” said Gordy Stauffer, SCP auditor. “As a result of their dedication, Wind River’s Support Operations have achieved certification against the SCP Standards for another consecutive year, which confirms that they are a world-class provider of technology solutions.”

The SCP Support Standard, under which Wind River was certified, is part of a suite of standards designed to improve the quality and effectiveness of service and support operations. A consortium of leading technology companies created the internationally recognized standards in cooperation with Service Strategies Corporation. The standards define best practices for delivering world-class service, quantify performance levels and establish a foundation for continuous improvement. Certification requires comprehensive annual audits to confirm that companies meet program requirements.
